Engineering

Direct Distribution Canada Inc. (DDC) has assembled a skilled and multidisciplinary team of engineers, technologists, designers, and support staff to meet the complex and evolving needs of our clients. Our engineering group is capable of handling diverse project scopes within oil and gas production, processing, and related industries.

Our team includes specialists in process, mechanical, instrumentation, civil, electrical, and piping disciplines—each with extensive experience and a strong track record in delivering robust, fit-for-purpose solutions.

When required, our engineering department can also:

• Participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies
• Provide on-site training for plant operating personnel
• Oversee equipment installation and startup
• Support and participate in plant performance testing

While much of our engineering work supports the design and manufacturing of production equipment or turnkey plants on an EPF (Engineering, Procurement, and Fabrication) basis, DDC has also successfully delivered engineering-only contracts for specialized client needs.

 

Construction Supervision

DDC provides comprehensive construction supervision services through experienced field personnel capable of managing installation, fabrication, and on-site construction activities. We deploy skilled construction supervisors and can also coordinate the hiring of local labor and equipment as required to ensure project efficiency and compliance.

Commissioning services include:

• Piping flush and purge operations
• System preparation and leak checks
• Motor and control system verification
• Water and air system trials
• Control system testing
• Process fluid startup and tuning
• Operational validation and performance verification

In addition, DDC offers:

• Preparation of comprehensive plant operating and maintenance manuals
• Operator training programs
• Ongoing technical support during and after startup

 

After-Sales Services & Spare Parts

DDC ensures long-term support through our after-sales services. We offer a dependable spare parts supply program that covers both fabricated components and standard items.

• Custom-fabricated parts are manufactured to order
• Component parts are procured or manufactured upon client request
• Typical delivery lead times range from 2 to 10 weeks from order confirmation
• Spare parts may remain available for up to 20 years due to our use of standard components

Shipments are arranged through air or ocean freight, coordinated via DDC’s global logistics network, and dispatched either from our head office or directly from suppliers to the client’s site.

 

Service & Repair Facility

DDC performs all service and repair work either at our operations base or directly at the client's site, as specified in the service agreement. Our mobile teams and partner network allow us to efficiently support clients worldwide, ensuring uptime and performance continuity.
